Easy Fall Wreath Craft for Toddlers

Fall is my favorite season, even more so now that I live in Las Vegas. The only thing that I don’t like is that there are no beautiful trees or falling leaves. I try to compensate by buying fake leaves and decorating with them. One way I wanted to use the fake leaves to decorate is by having DJ make a wreath with them. I made this to be an easy fall wreath craft for toddlers. That way any of you can easily do this too. If you want to make this as well you can use fake or real leaves if you have them.  Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate…

    Puff Paint Ghosts

While scrolling through Pinterest recently I kept seeing something called puff paint. I thought it looked so cool. I decided that since it was Halloween time, I would make some puff paint for DJ & Brooklyn to paint a puff paint ghost. I left the puff paint white since they were going to be using it for ghosts. To start I cut out two ghosts out of regular printer paper, and then I made the puff paint. I made way too much for us. I used half a cup of shaving cream and half a cup of white glue and just mixed them together. If I was making more color…

    Outdoor Halloween Decorations 2018

I am one of those people who love to have decorations for every holiday. I’m also one of those people who is pretty lazy with decorations, unless it’s Christmas. Luckily, Brooklyn’s godfather (and one of David’s best friends), Rich seems to love decoration for every holiday too (and isn’t lazy). I’d love to say another big thank you to Rich for making the outside of our house look incredible for Halloween. I love the decorations so much that I wanted to share with you all our outdoor Halloween decorations. Outdoor Halloween Decorations 2018 I wanted to start by showing you the front of my house and the driveway. I am…

  • My Top Three Baby Registries | www.thevegasmom.com

    My Top Three Baby Registries

When I was pregnant with both DJ and Brooklyn I used Babies R Us for my registry. Unfortunately, they closed down and I can’t recommend them like I used to. I thought it would be a good idea to research different baby registries that were out there. This way when someone inevitably asks me which one I recommend I can let them know. I narrowed it down to my top three baby registries for you. I’m going to give you the benefits of these registries along with any cons there may be, but to be honest I can’t see any cons about a registry. Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links.…

    Michaels Kids Club

I’m always looking for new things to do with DJ & Brooklyn that is both fun and inexpensive. I want to take them to different places. I finally listened to my friend about going to the Michaels Kids Club on Saturday. It was definitely a lot of fun. They have two different crafts depending on the age group. When we went the theme was hedgehogs. DJ was ecstatic. Every Saturday from 10 am to noon Michaels has their Kids Club. They have a 3+ craft for $2 and a 6+ craft for $5. We did the 3+ hedgehog craft for DJ, and they gave Brooklyn markers and paper to color.…

    DJ’s Third Birthday Party!

I’m just going to start off with the fact that I cannot believe my little boy is already three. My mind is having a hard time processing how this happened. I logically three years has past, but it doesn’t feel like it. DJ has been obsessed with Mickey Mouse for the majority of these three years. We didn’t end up throwing him a first birthday party, because he was sick. He had a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse “Oh Two-dles” themed party for his second birthday, but there wasn’t a lot of people there since we had canceled and decided to have it again last-minute (he had a stomach virus a few days…

    My Most Used Baby Products

I remember when I was pregnant with DJ, I would search for hours every day to make sure I had every single item I needed. We bought all of the must have items. I will be totally honest when I say that I bought way too much. When I was pregnant with Brooklyn I bought a few more things. I’ll admit that I may have a shopping problem. I’ve compiled quite a few lists to help new parents from making the same mistakes as me. This list isn’t area specific though. This is my most used baby products in general. Remember that just because these products worked for me, they…

Staying Organized During Back To School Season

Staying organized during back to school season can seem like a challenge. After a summer of play and relaxation it can seem difficult to get back into the  groove. While Brooklyn & DJ aren’t in school yet, I am planning on starting DJ on preschool homeschooling. I decided to look for things to get for our house to help us stay more organized that I will be able to use every year. A great place to look for items to stay organized with is Wayfair. I compiled a list of my 6 must have items from Wayfair for staying organized during back to school season. These are the items I foresee…

Family Friendly Las Vegas | The Neon Museum

This past February I went with my husband and friends to The Neon Museum. It was definitely a beautiful and educational experience. We went on an hour-long guided tour where we learned about Las Vegas history. I definitely will be going again, and taking DJ and Brooklyn with us. My advice is to pick a time after it gets dark for your tour. It can be really hot during the day for most of year. Also, the 11 restored signs looks beautiful at night. To order your tickets for the tour you go on their website and choose the time slot you want to go on. They have quite a…

    Self Care Night

These past few months have been draining emotionally, mentally, and physically. I tend to ignore my problems until either they go away or I have no choice but to do something. Two weeks ago I started taking care of the physical part of my problems, but I still wasn’t doing much for my emotional and mental state. I decided it was time to recharge my batteries a little with a self care night. Honestly, I used to do these at least once a week, but life happens and other things took priority. My self care nights are pretty simple, but they usually get the job done. Disclaimer: This post contains…
