Products to Help Baby and Toddler Eczema

I hope 2020 is treating you all well so far. I took quite a long hiatus right in the middle of Blogmas. Long story short; I got a terrible tooth infection and then my grandpa moved here. After that, it has been hard to jump back into it.  A few things have happened during my hiatus. First, my grandpa finally moved here. I’m so happy! Second, in the beginning of January I launched my YouTube channel. This post was actually a YouTube video first; however, I believe this will be a great blog post as well! I am sharing my favorite products to help baby and toddler eczema. I feel like…

    Creating a Homeschool Pre-K Schedule

When deciding the what to do for DJ starting Pre-K we decided to homeschool. I’m a stay at home mom, and I used to be a preschool teacher. It was an easy choice. The hardest thing for me was to figure out a schedule to follow. Creating a homeschool Pre-K schedule took a little bit of planning. I wanted to figure out the right amount of time to teach. Another thing I needed to figure out was what to focus on. DJ is pretty up to speed with everything. The only thing he really needs to work on learning to write and read.  So that is there first thing I…

    10 Fall Outfits for Toddlers

We are approaching my favorite time of the year. The time of the year where the weather cools down, the leaves changes colors, and everyone breaks out their hoodies. At least that’s what happens if you don’t live in Las Vegas. Here we will still be wearing summer clothes until the end of November. Growing up in New York it’s easy to imagine a real fall though. It always was my favorite time of the year. I compiled a list of 10 fall outfits for toddlers to get me in the fall spirit. So even if I can’t feel a real fall I can pretend by buying these outfits while…

    DJ’s Fourth Birthday Party!

DJ’s fourth birthday was on August 28th, and his party was the 31st! He wanted a Super Mario themed party, and that is exactly what we gave him. This party is probably the first party we didn’t do any DIY for, and it was kind of nice. It wasn’t a huge party, because DJ still isn’t in school yet. It was a fun party though, and I know DJ had a great time. We made homemade pizza, chicken nuggets, and mac & cheese. We went to Party City for all of the supplies. They had everything Mario! The store by my house was out of helium so they made us…

Family Friendly Las Vegas: The Harlem Globetrotters

My family loves basketball, and we’re from NY. In fact David was born in Harlem. We’re also always looking for something new and different to do as a family. That’s the entire reason I have the Family Friendly Las Vegas series here on The Vegas Mom. Which is why when the Harlem Globetrotters reached out to me to tell you all they’re coming to Las Vegas I was excited. We are definitely excited to go see them. The Harlem Globetrotters were founded in 1926, and are still relevant today. They have more than 400 live events a year all around the world. Luckily for us they’re going to be coming…

    Three Back to School Outfits

Back to school is around the corner here in Las Vegas. I’m pretty sure in other areas as well. I was so used to school starting after Labor Day from when I lived in NY, but here it’s different. We are doing homeschool Pre-K for DJ, and I’m still deciding when I want to start. Even though we are doing homeschool for Pre-K I wanted to go back to school shopping for him. I wanted him to get just as excited for new things for school like I used to. I decided to check out Rockets of Awesome to create some cute back to school outfits. Everything was purchased in…

    Simple Calm Down Bottle

The terrible twos are a very real thing, and Brooklyn has a terrible case. I have been looking for ways to try to get her to calm down. I remembered that when I was a preschool teacher they had calm down bottles. Which led me to trying to make my own simple calm down bottle.  This is only my first attempt. My goal is to make a bunch of different kinds. Next time, I want to have Brooklyn and DJ pick out their own colors and things to put inside. This post contains affiliate links. Children’s Book of the Week: You Get What You Get by Julie Gassman

It’s been quite a while since my last book of the week. I’ve planned out the next five weeks of blog content to make sure I stay focused. I get things done when I plan ahead. However, if I don’t plan I tend to slack off. Back to the book of the week. This week’s book is You Get What You Get. This is another Kindle Unlimited book. I need to get down to Barnes & Noble to buy some physical books soon. Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Should We Have Another Baby?

Is it okay to have more than two kids? I won’t lie to you I have always wanted a big family. There was a point in time where I wanted five kids. That is definitely not the plan anymore. However, I do really want another child. That would make three children in total. David goes back and forth between wanting another baby. The real question is should we have another baby? The thing that gets to me is how everyone has decided for me that I’m done. People love to say, “You have a boy and a girl! How perfect! Now you’re done.” Excuse me? I understand that people don’t mean…
