Popovich Comedy Pet Theater Commemorates Anniversary, Returns from 4-Month Tour
Las Vegas, NV (May 22, 2019) Master animal trainer, juggler, and physical comedian Gregory Popovich and his cuddly cast of characters will be back on stage at V Theater – Planet Hollywood this Friday on the 13-year anniversary of their first show in Las Vegas.
Popovich Comedy Pet Theater opened on May 24, 2006. This show features more than 30 housecats, dogs, birds, even a miniature horse. These performing pets were rescued from animal shelters across the country and now enjoy life in the limelight with their human co-star who incorporates world-class juggling, gymnastics and balancing acts all wrapped into a 70-minute show.
Gregory has always said, “The number 13 is very special and magical to me. I first debuted as a solo juggler at the age of 13 and the building number of the Moscow circus I performed at was also 13! Circus rings are traditionally 13 meters in diameter as well! I am so grateful to the audience of Las Vegas and David Saxe, my producer, for my 13 years on the Las Vegas Strip!”
Gregory Popovich is a fifth-generation Russian circus performer who has toured with the Moscow Circus and Greatest Show on Earth. He has shot his TV series in Las Vegas, called the “Comedy Pet”, and filmed in Las Vegas his own featured movie, Popovich and the Voice of the Fable American West. He’s also author of “You CAN Train Your Cat” and “Doggy Gone Good.” Popovich says the key to training your furry friend is to use positive reinforcement techniques and bring out what they already do best.
“The idea is to enhance their natural abilities and habits,” says Popovich. “Animals are highly-intelligent. They take their cues from their owners so humans need to speak their language. It’s all about communication and bonding.”
Named “Best Family Show in Las Vegas,” Popovich Comedy Pet Theater has wowed audiences in more than 30 countries including Canada, France, Israel, Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Germany, Belgium and Holland.
In fact, Popovich took his show on the road this past January on a 16 state North American tour and has returned just in time to mark the show’s 13-year milestone.
Popovich Comedy Pet Theater runs at 4 o’clock Tuesday through Saturday at V Theater inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
