Children’s Book of the Week: Lacey Walker, Nonstop Talker

I’m back with another children’s book of the week. This week’s book is Lacey Walker, Nonstop Talker written by Christianne Jones, and illustrated by Richard Watson. As usual, I am using Kindle Unlimited to read this book. I haven’t actually read this book with DJ and Brooklyn yet, but I do plan on it tonight. However, I have read this book myself to make sure it was a good fit for them and this blog. Lacey Walker, Nonstop Talker  Lacey Walker, Nonstop Talker follows around a little owl named Lacey. She has a habit of talking nonstop. She constantly needs to be reminded to do what she needs to do and to…

Children’s Book of the Week: You Get What You Get by Julie Gassman

It’s been quite a while since my last book of the week. I’ve planned out the next five weeks of blog content to make sure I stay focused. I get things done when I plan ahead. However, if I don’t plan I tend to slack off. Back to the book of the week. This week’s book is You Get What You Get. This is another Kindle Unlimited book. I need to get down to Barnes & Noble to buy some physical books soon. Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Children’s Book of the Week: ABC See, Hear, Do: Learn to Read 55 Words

The book this week is a bit different. ABC See, Hear, Do: Learn to Read 55 Words is an educational book. David & I have decided to start teaching DJ how to read. He will be 4 at the end of August, but we believe he’s ready to learn to read and write now. Honestly, we aren’t that far into the book, but he is already making progress. I have the book on his iPad using Kindle Unlimited, but we are going to buy the physical copy soon. Book of the Week: Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street? by Eleanor Hudson

This week’s book of the weeks is Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street? by Eleanor Hudson. They love Elmo a lot. Which makes this book a huge hit. My Mom actually got this book for DJ and Brooklyn at Kohl’s a while back. One of the things I love about this book in particulate is that my mom bought it at Kohl’s, because it was part of their Kohl’s Cares program. That mean 100% of the new profit was donated to childcare’s initiatives in communities nationwide. This story follows Elmo around as he is up in the sky after being flown into the air while flying a…

Children’s Book of the Week: Bear & Hare Share! by Emily Gravett

I started a new series on my blog in the middle of March called the book of the week, and then I never posted a never book of the week again. I’d call that a huge fail. I’m back on it now though, and you’ll definitely be getting a consistent book of the week every single week. I’m sticking to children’s books for now until I find a book that I really love. My goal is to hopefully have an adult book of the week around once a month. That will give me enough time to actually find one I love, read it, and write a good post about it.…

Book of the Week: Lionheart by Richard Collingridge

This is the first post in my new weekly series. It is going to be my book of the week series. The plan is going to be to post every Tuesday. It’s going to be a mix of children’s books, and books that I have recently read. I’m starting off this series with a children’s book called Lionheart by Richard Collingridge. It’s one of the books DJ asks me to read to him before he goes to sleep for his nap. He usually has a different book or two for bedtime. This post contains affiliate links.
